Balmoral Place, Halifax
Balmoral Place, Halifax is a terrace of 11 houses built
around 1860 by Elizabeth Porter in Blackwall.
In 1964, Norman Ashworth bought the house at Number 15.
The family gradually bought others in the terrace until they finally
acquired the last one around 1990.
These were converted into 36 flats.
In August 2005, their son, Robin, put the property up for
sale with a guide price of £2·25million.
