Memorial to Daniel Whitaker & Family

Halifax Parish Church

In Memory of Mr DANL WHITAKER of Halifax Grocer, who departed this Life August 16th 1728, Aged 46 Years.     His Remains were deposited in the Church of St Michael Bassishaw London.     Near this Place are interr'd the Remains of HANNAH his Wife, who departed this Life April 8th 1746, in the 59th Year of her Age.     Here also lie the Bodies of two Daughters and four Sons Viz. ELIZABETH & MARY, RODERT, THOMAS, IOHN & DANIEL.     ABRAHAM & WILLIAM their Sons, died in London and their Bodies buried in the Church of St Michael Bassishaw.     This Monument was Erected agreable to the Will of the late Mr William Whitaker.
