He was a quarryman [1871].
On 25th June 1846, he married (1) Sarah Wright [1825-1849] at Halifax Parish Church.
Child: Mary [b 1847]
Sarah died at BrookFoot and was buried at St Martin's Church, Brighouse [14th September 1849].
In 1851, the widowed William and daughter Mary were living with his parents at Elland Upper Edge.
On 24th July 1851, he married (2) Elizabeth Hargreaves [1825-1893] at Halifax Parish Church.
Elizabeth was born in Rastrick / Elland [22nd February 1825]
Children:
They lived at Upper Edge, Elland [1871].
William died 13th July 1880.
In 1881, 1891, the widowed Elizabeth was living with her son Abraham & his wife.
Elizabeth died 9th December 1893
Members of the family were buried at St Anne's Church, Southowram [Grave Ref: R-H1D]
